A Total Marking System for National Curriculum Subjects  

One of my colleagues looked over my shoulder one day when I was working on a ‘marking spreadsheet’ and, (how can I put it) made fun of me because I was only a drama teacher and couldn’t be into Information Technology! He stopped when I showed him what the spreadsheet did, and how much time it saved. Within 5 minutes he was convinced, another 10 and he was smiling, another 10 and he had started to set up his own sheet, another 10 and he was buying me drinks! (Only tea; we were in the staff room).

Another colleague was less convinced and asked me to put something onto paper, I told my publisher, and that’s how all of these marking schemes were commisioned.
