The
books are a Godsend! When I came there was nothing in place,
and I needed something quickly. What I got from HAVEN PUBLICATIONS
was everything I needed. They detail the skills, they tell
you how to teach it, with alternatives, how to mark it, how
the students can self-assess etc. When members of my department
are away, I go to the handbook and hand it to a member of
staff, and ask them to ‘do page 12’! It’s as simple as that.
I particularly like the ‘Blueprint for whole-class improvisation’,
and the concentration on skills. These books are SUPERB RESOURCES.

I
am delighted with the 2 drama books we bought in October 2000.
They help at many different levels, and I can highly recommend
them. The marking system, something which is always a problem
for Drama, is BRILLIANT, as are the self-assessment sheets.
The students cannot help to make progress with these materials.
The drama content is EXCELLENT, concentrating on skills such
a spatial awareness and characterisation: it’s the first time
